Data-driven internationalisation

About

Join us for the Data-driven internationalisation interactive online workshop, where we will explore how universities can effectively use data to shape their internationalization strategies. This session will focus on different levels of strategic approaches to internationalization, methods for collecting and utilizing relevant data, and the role of institutional resources—particularly funding—in shaping internationalization efforts.

Key discussion points will include:

  • Data sources for internationalisation – What data universities use (e.g., MICHE, EAIE Barometer, IAU Global Survey, IIE Open Doors) and how it informs decision-making.
  • Tracking international activities – How universities collect and evaluate data on their international initiatives.
  • Strategic planning – How internationalization decisions are made within institutions, who is involved, and whether universities follow a comprehensive strategy or a program-specific approach.
  • Practical application – Identifying the most useful types of data and how to leverage them effectively in institutional planning.

This session is ideal for university staff engaged in internationalisation and strategic planning, providing practical tools to enhance data-driven decision-making.
