About the event


The international event Excellent Education for All serves as a forum for everybody interested in cooperation among Czech, Norwegian, Icelandic and Liechtenstein schools, universities and other education organisations, showcasing the results of the CZ-EDUCATION programme funded by

the EEA Grants.


You will discover success stories of collaboration between Czechia, Iceland, Liechtenstein, and Norway, resulting in numerous inspiring and innovative contributions to education. The event will also provide a platform to share experiences and establish new contacts, explore opportunities for further cooperation, and address challenges collectively in the future.


About the EEA Grants

and the programme CZ-EDUCATION

The CZ-EDUCATION programme, funded by the EEA Grants and initiated in 2018, promoted cooperation between Czechia and Norway, Iceland and Liechtenstein. It supported projects of schools and other educational institutions focused on modernising and innovating teaching and learning, exchanging experiences, and facilitating study visits and short-term internships abroad. Over the past years, the programme has supported

107 projects, with a total allocation of almost 7 million euros.

Per Øystein Vatne

Deputy Head of Mission of the Royal Norwegian Embassy in Prague


Per Øystein Vatne is a Norwegian diplomat. with longstanding experience regarding international trade, the European Union and the European Free Trade Association. He was posted to missions in UAE, Canada and Slovakia. Since August 2022 he has been the Deputy Head of Mission in Prague, Czechia.

Václav Velčovský

Director General for EU Operational Programmes section of the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports of the Czech Republic


Václav Velčovský combines both academic and policy-making assets in his career. Since 2015, he has been the Deputy Minister at the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports of the Czech Republic in charge of international cooperation, the European Union affairs and the European Structural and Investment Funds. He is also an author of four monographs and dozens scientific articles on the Czech-German relations history, language policy and pedagogy.

Michal Uhl

Director of DZS - Czech National Agency for International Education and Research


Michal Uhl has been working at DZS since 2016. He participated in the strategic development of the organization from the position of Deputy Director, from 2022 he continues as Director of the institution. Prior to his work at DZS he had already dealt with issues of education and social policy through analytical and consulting positions at the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports and the Office of the Government of the Czech Republic, where he focused mainly on the fields of civic education and gender equality.

<h3>Michal Uhl</h3><p>Director of DZS - Czech National Agency for International Education and Research</p><p><br /></p><p>Michal Uhl has been working at DZS since 2016. He participated in the strategic development of the organization from the position of Deputy Director, from 2022 he continues as Director of the institution. Hilde Elin Haaland-Kramer

Head of the Department for Global Cooperation and Capacity Building at the Norwegian Directorate for Higher Education and Skill (HK-dir)


Hilde Haaland-Kramer is Head has worked in international higher education for almost 30 years and has extensive experience from both government and higher education sector, having served seven years as the Educational Attaché at the Royal Norwegian Consulate General in New York and worked with international education and quality assurance at the University of Bergen for almost 10 years. Before joining the directorate in 2019, she was the administrative head of the Center for Care Research at Western Norway University of Applied Sciences for five years.

Marion Kindle-Kühnis

Head of the EEA Grants of the Agency for International Education Affairs (AIBA)


Marion Kindle-Kühnis is the Donor Program Partner in education for Liechtenstein working for the Agency for international education affairs, AIBA. She studied political science as well as constitutional and international law at the University of Zurich. She gained deep insights into the Liechtenstein vocational education system through the development of the Liechtenstein National Qualifications Framework.

General Manager of NORTH CONSULTING


Maria has worked within the educational sphere for over 20 years. Before establishing NORTH Consulting in 2018, she worked for the National Research Centre in Iceland, managed the Leonardo da Vinci partnership programme, and was an expert in education at the European Commission in Brussels. She also run the Erasmus+ National Agency. Within NORTH Consulting, Maria focuses on working with municipalities in strategic planning and policy development, training of teachers and principals and in designing new educational materials, particularly on entrepreneurial thinking and transversal skills formation.

Nina Bosnićová

Head of Bilateral and Multilateral Programmes Unit of DZS - Czech National Agency for International Cooperation and Research


Nina Bosnićová earned her MA in English and Slovak Philology from Masaryk University in Brno and obtained her Ph.D. in English and American Literature from Charles University in Prague. Before her tenure at the Czech National Agency for International Education and Research, she dedicated nine years to various roles within the nonprofit organization Gender Studies. Currently, she leads the unit responsible for bilateral and multilateral programmes there.

How to get to the venues:


  • For DZS – Czech National Agency for International Education and Research, the nearest tram stop and metro station are Náměstí republiky / Masarykovo nádraží. Restaurant Červený Jelen is very close to DZS (see the map above).
  • For Mama Shelter, the nearest tram stop is Veletržní palác.

Tram no. 6 offers the quickest transfer between venues.

Prague public transport tickets can be purchased via the PID app, at machines on trams and buses, at selected tram/bus stops, and in metro vestibules.



Practical information


Badge Pickup:

Two days before the event, you will receive a QR code for on-site registration and badge pickup.

If you are attending the networking dinner on April 24, 2024, please pick up your badge at DZS—Czech National Agency for International Education and Research (Na Poříčí 1035/4, Prague 1). The building will be open from 16:00, and you can look forward to the relaxed atmosphere, meeting other participants, and maybe some ice-breaking activities. Please arrive no later than 17:30, when a welcome speech and a group photo are scheduled. We will then proceed to the nearby restaurant.

For attendees joining only on April 25, 2024, registration and badge pickup will be available at Mama Shelter Hotel from 9:00 to 9:50.

All sessions of the agenda will be conducted in English.

Accommodation and travel costs for speakers and participants from abroad

Upon confirmation of your registration, the organiser will arrange accommodation for you at Hotel Mama Shelter for one night (April 24 – 25). If you need to stay till April 26 due to scheduled flights, please indicate this in the registration.


The organiser will reimburse the costs of air tickets, bus tickets, or train tickets related to the journey to Prague, Czechia, where the event takes place:

  • Participants and speakers from abroad: up to CZK 15 000

(ca EUR 600),

  • Speakers from Czechia: up to CZK 1 000.


After confirming your registration, the organiser will conclude an agreement with you. The reimbursement will be processed after the event based on the following documents:

  • originals of train/bus tickets, seat reservation tickets, air tickets, boarding passes, etc.
  • invoices for travel costs,
  • form “Request for travel costs reimbursement” provided by the organiser.


Eligible travel costs include:

  • Public transport tickets (train, bus): seat reservation tickets, couchettes or sleeping berths in the standard (economy) class. For trips exceeding 400 km, purchasing a ticket to a higher-than-standard class is possible.
  • Air tickets in the economy class and directly related charges (e.g., airport charges) for flights. It is recommended to purchase tickets with "air ticket cancellation insurance" to enable the ticket’s return in an unexpected event preventing you from coming to Prague.


Please note that if you do not attend the event, your travel expenses will not be reimbursed.
