
FOREU4ALL TOPICAL GROUP ON UKRAINE WORKSHOP
Prague, Czech Republic, 16 – 17 October 2025
The event intends to bring together representatives from the European university alliances community (FOREU4ALL) cooperating with Ukrainian partners, these Ukrainian partners and representatives of national agencies.
Since April 2025, 49 Alliances have joined the European university alliances community (FOREU4ALL) cooperating with Ukrainian partners with the aim to structure their actions by learning from each other and advocating for political and financial support.
Key Objectives

Overview of the opportunities, approaches and scope to support of Ukrainian HEIs

Identification of opportunities and challenges, building key messages to policy makers related to the cooperation with Ukrainian HE and its transformation; enhanced potential of engagement of Ukrainian HEIs in the European university alliances

Exchange of practical experiences among the alliances and their Ukrainian partners on specific issues and inspiring cases

Forward looking discussion: how can European university alliances / HE institutions support future recovery and resilience of Ukraine, its HE and society
Programme
16 October 2025, 13:00 - 17:30 (CET), Prague/online (online participation possible only on the first day)
17 October 2025, 9:00 - 13:00 (CET), (onsite only)
In Prague, the event will benefit from a hospitality of the Czech Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports and the Czech National Agency for International Education & Research, Na Poříčí 4, Praha 1.
About 30 participants are expected, bringing together Czech universities (ca 6 people), representatives of European university alliances (ca 14 people) and their Ukrainian partners (10 people). The travel and accommodation will be born by participants.
Joint sessions on 16 October 2025 will allow access to other participants thanks to the hybrid mode of the event. In Kyiv and across Ukraine, the online connection will bring together representatives from the Ministry of education and science of Ukraine [tbc], the Erasmus+ office of Ukraine and the HE institutions of Ukraine involved in cooperation with European university alliances.
The first day will be accessible online also for other partners from among European university alliances and higher education stakeholders.

The venue is in the very centre of Prague.
Travel
Participants are responsible for arranging and covering the costs of their own travel. Please note that parking is not available at the venue. We recommend using public transport.
Accomodation
Participants are responsible for arranging and covering the costs of the accommodation. We will be happy to assist you with booking a room at the premises of the National Agency at the hotel Residence Dlouhá 17, Praha 1 until the capacity is available. The price is about 60 €/night for single room. The hotel is ca 5 minutes walk from the workshop venue.

Meals & refreshments
There will be coffee breaks provided within the event. The dinner in Prague on Thursday, 16 October 2025 evening is informal, on self-funding basis. Please, indicate your potential interest to join the group in order to reserve enough places.
Registration
Registrations for onsite attendance are expected before 20 September 2025, online attendants may register until 14 October 2025.
Priority for onsite attendance will be given to members from the European university alliances of the topical group(s) involved with the FOREU4ALL Topical Group on Cooperation with Ukraine. Please note that the number of onsite participants is limited due to the venue constraints. Therefore, a priority will be given to onsite participation of one person per alliance, unless there are vacancies after 20 September 2025. Please note that this workshop will be partially streamed online.
